Reflexology and getting pregnant

Fertility and massage

I am delighted to say that in the last 5 months two mums-to-be that I have treated have successfully conceived after a series of treatments of reflexology, following their previous difficulties in falling pregnant.   Not only does the reflexology treatment alleviate stress, anxiety and worry at such a time, but it also assists in re-balancing the mind-body connection by enabling homeostasis.  Specific reflexology techniques aim to stimulate the pituitary gland, and produce hormones that affect the adrenals, thyroid, ovaries, and breasts, thereby increasing the chance of getting pregnant.

Preparing for a half or full marathon

We are well into the season where preparation for a half or full marathon is in full swing.  I recently started joining the ParkRun myself and was very impressed to see the speed and fitness of many runners, who were clearly looking to improve times week-on-week.  If you are in that position and want to make sure that you retain your fitness and be  injury-free, it is really advisable to have regular sports massages, to ease your aching muscles and to prepare you for your training routines.

If you wish any advice on potential weak areas get in touch with me and I will be happy to assess you and massage these muscles, using other bodywork techniques, such as myofascial release, Emmett therapy, and isolated stretching.  You won't regret it!
