Manual lymphatic drainage (MLD) is very gentle technique where light pressure is used to clear excess fluid and to unblock the lymph nodes, clearing toxins. The light circular pumping movements have a soothing, relaxing effect.
During massage clients are unclothed beneath a towel. Only the area of the body being worked on is uncovered.
Conditions helped include:
- Allergies, sinus problems and catarrh
- Aches and pains caused by arthritis
- Oedema and fatty lumps
- ME (chronic fatigue syndrome)
- Swelling
- Weak immune system
It also supports the immune system and helps the body heal from surgery.
I have completed advanced training in manual lymphatic drainage.
