Light touch spinal alignment therapy

A gentle muscle therapy which aims to restores the body’s centre of gravity to its optimum position.

Light touch spinal alignment therapy (sometimes known as spinal touch) is a diagnostic technique and precise fingertip massage that works to bring the spine back into alignment through muscle relaxation.

Although this therapy is most often used to treat lower back and stress-related problems, by restoring the body’s equilibrium in this way it can have far-reaching holistic effects on your physical and mental well-being.

The sacrum is key to this therapy. Lying at the centre of the skeletal structure and supporting both spine and pelvis it is quite easily displaced.

The human body standing in a normal upright position free of distortion stress or painDiagnosis includes a ‘plumbline assessment’ where the client stands in front of a plumb line, allowing Benedetta to see how to rebalance the spine in relation to the sacrum. Clients need to undress to their underwear for this.

During massage clients are unclothed beneath a towel. Only the area of the body being worked on is uncovered.
